Season 3 of The Sons of Anarchy doesn’t premiere until September 7th, but we can see the new trailer now. Let’s ride!

If you’re a Fringe fan, then you might want to check out i09.com’s preview of what we can expect to see in season three.

Harry Knowles at AICN recently announced that AICN is going to present and run the Famous Monsters of Filmland.com website. This is especially exciting news because Harry has a passion for horror films. He also has a huge fan base that he can attract to the site.
I love horror/monster movies and when I was a kid Famous Monsters of Filmland was always a fun read. But up until Harry’s announcement, I wasn’t even aware that there was a Famous Monsters website.

In other monster news, /Film posted a report that Tim Burton is developing a 3D film called Monsterpocalypse. Tim Burton and the title alone make it worth a look.

Harry at AICN posted this wicked Drew Struzan poster for AMC’s adaptation of The Walking Dead series. Harry has a ZOMBIELAND-sized version that could truly be your wallpaper and you can see it here.

This Walking Dead motion comic is the coolest thing on the internet right now. Oh, and you might also want to check out a new (and much larger version) of The Walking Dead character poster below!

MTV News scored a cool behind-the-scenes look at AMC TV’s The Walking Dead. Thanks to the good folks at CBR.com, the clip can be seen here.

Newsarama has a nice interview with Walking Dead creator, Robert Kirkman, who talks about plans for the comic and what to expect from the AMC tv series adaptation.

Today’s post is about a few things; one of which you may find surprising. But first, some introductions, the handsome fellow on the left is professional wrestler [and best selling author] Mick Foley aka Mankind, Cactus Jack, etc. The lady on the left is Linda McMahon, wife of billionaire and WWE owner, Vince McMahon. There will be another post, later this week, about Mick Foley. Today’s post concerns Linda McMahon.
Last year Linda McMahon stepped down as CEO of the WWE. It wasn’t part of a storyline or a gimmick to do with the professional wrestling company. Ms. McMahon decided to run for the US Senate. Really. Here’s her website. I kid you not. Kinda surprising, right.
Today TVGuide.com posted a piece on Ms. McMahon’s campaign ad that calls professional wrestling,,,
“a soap opera that entertains millions each week”.
TVGuide says that in the ad Linda McMahon…
…lets it slip that the wrestling “isn’t real.”
The article goes on to say…
That sound you hear is grown men all over the country weeping.
Will someone please send Gina DiNunno, the author of the article, word that pro wrestling fans have known for years that professional wrestling is scripted. Make that decades. If this was the 1950’s, 60’s or even the 70’s, perhaps some fans would think that pro rasslin’ was real, but c’mon, let’s get, uh, real. Professional wrestling is scripted. Anyone who doesn’t know that probably doesn’t have the intelligence to read the TVGuide article.
So what’s more surprising:
My vote is for #3.

If you’re a fan of those Brisk Iced Tea commercials (you know, the ones with Bruce Lee, Rocky Balboa, Frank Sinatra, Babe Ruth, Elvis, Bruce Willis, and others) then you owe it to yourself to check out UFC’s Chuck Liddell and Little Chuck in Way of the Brisk.

If you’re a reader of this blog, there’s a real good chance that you’re a fan of Sons of Anarchy. I’ve been talking up the show since the first ads for it started appearing almost two years ago. It was an interesting take on an outlaw motorcycle club created by Kurt Sutter who I knew from his work on The Shield [another favorite series of mine]. The show has gained a solid following is in line to win some awards.
Kurt Sutter should be on top of the world, but he’s not. In fact, he’s more than a bit upset. Chuck Zito has filed a lawsuit with the claim that the Sons of Anarchy was based on a pitch that he gave for a show based on an outlaw motorcycle gang.
Normally Zito is a pretty intimidating guy. He’s an outlaw biker, has done time, worked as a bodyguard and even knocked out Jean Claude Van Damme [okay, maybe that’s not so tough], but still. Sutter’s not the least bit impressed and instead has taken Zito to task point by point. You can read it here if you don’t mind a bit of profanity.

Hercules over at Ain’t It Cool News scored some behind the scenes photos from AMC’s adaptation of The Walking Dead. This series just keeps looking better and better.

AMC’s The Walking Dead blog is really doing an excellent job of updating fans as filming progresses. That’s the first production photo of a Walking Dead zombie.

If you’re a fan of The Twilight Zone, you owe it to yourself to check out this online group art show at Nineteeneighteight.com. The art show features nearly 100 pieces of art inspired by the original Twilight Zone series. The art above, by Ben Walker, is one of my favorites, but there are so many excellent pieces that you’ll probably find several that you like.

About two weeks ago, Chris Mills did a post on the Hawaii 5-0 theme variations and the new CBS series of the same name. I have to admit, my interest was raised.
Now that I’ve seen the new Hawaii 5-0 preview that CBS has released, I’m going to be sure to tune in!
