Since we were talking about Thomas Boatwright and his art yesterday, I wanted to remind you that he has a new 32 page Bride of Frankenstein sketchbook and that there could be a third Zeke Deadwood comic in our future.
Although we’re still over a month and a half away from the return of AMC’s The Walking Dead, this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly is going to give us a sneak peak at what to expect from the coming season.
From the looks of the four covers, this is going to be an issue and a season not to miss!

On February 9, 2012, we posted that Tony Moore, the original artist of the hit comic book series The Walking Dead had sued long-time [former?] friend, Robert Kirkman. Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, claiming that he [Moore} was in truth the co-creator of the series.
A few days later Kirkman’s response was in the news.
At the time I had hope that Moore and Kirkman would be able to come to a mutually satisfactory solution soon. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be. CBR.com has posted the complaint that Moore has now filed in federal court to be named co-author of The Walking Dead; Brit and Battle Pope.
I hate the reality of this situation.
The fine folks at Shock Till You Drop recently caught up with Robert Kirkman and executive producer David Alpert to find out what we should expect in the new season of The Walking Dead. Here’s a tidbit:
“The biggest thing I have to say is that, as the storytelling picked up at the end of season two, and the speed of events happening — well, we’re increasing it. Season three is going to be non-stop, in your face, intense. This is the point in the show that I’ve been excited about giving the audience since season one.”

This Walking Dead trailer for season three does it right. The trailer has it all – zombies, the prison, Michonne, the Governor, Rick and the survivors taking on the living and the dead and … wait. for. it. a special surprise at the end of the trailer.
October 14th cannot get her fast enough.
There’s a Twilight Zone marathon going on over at the Syfy channel. There are a lot worse ways to spend a lazy 4th of July than watching Rod Serling’s presentations of some of the best sci-fi and horror ever shown on television.
However, if you only have a few of hours to spare, then I’d suggest you tune in (or set your dvr) from 7:30 to 10:30 tonight. Here’s what you”ll get:
7:30 “The Howling Man” – David Ellington while hiking in Europe after WWII stumbles across a remote abbey when a violent storm kicks up. Reluctantly given refuge for the night by the monks, Ellington hears howling and discovers a man being held prisoner by the monks. Before he can set the man free, Ellington is told the true nature of the prisoner. Ellington is left with a decision that may haunt him for the rest of his life…
8:00 “Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?” – On a dark, snowy night, two deputies respond to a call about a crashed spaceship. Tracks lead to a remote dinner where seven bus passengers and the diner’s owner are waiting out the storm. The funny thing is there were only supposed to be six passengers on the bus and strange things are starting to happen at the dinner. Coincidence or is there an alien among them?
8:30 “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street” – It’s just getting dark when a strange sound and flashing lights in the sky bring neighbors out of their houses. A child suggests it’s aliens from a flying saucer. The adults laugh it off until strange things begin to happen and their paranoia increases. Soon they are looking at each other — could aliens already be here?
9:00 “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” – A man, with a fear of flying and recently recovered from a nervous breakdown, is having a hard time making it through a stormy, late night flight. Then he sees a monster on the wing trying to damage the plane’s engine…
9:30 “Time Enough At Last” – When a meek book lover finds himself the sole survivor of a nuclear holocaust, he takes joy in that he will at last have time enough to read… or will he?
10:00 “To Serve Man” – Aliens come to earth promising peace and shared technology. They seem to be making good on their promise to turn earth into a paradise, yet some doubts linger…

Walking Dead: The Official Magazine will premiere on October 23rd and feature articles, interviews and behind-the-scenes looks at the comic and television series.
Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead had this to say:

While we’re on the subject of Aliens, have you ever seen this rare test footage of Bolaji Badejo, the actor who played the Alien, as he worked out how the Alien should move, Erie footage, indeed.
The new trailer for Sinister has a couple of creepy moments, the best being at the at the 1:33 mark.
I’ve been a Hyundai fan for over twenty years. I currently drive a XG350, which is affectionately called the Jack Carter mobile by some of my friends. Both of my sons drive Hyundais which have been passed down to them.
Hyundais are great cars which get wonderful gas mileage and seldom need repairs. Little did I know that Hyundai would be the car company of choice should there be a zombie apocalypse!
The fearless vampire hunters over at ComingSoon posted two new tv treasers for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I like ’em both.
AMC has announced that it will run a Walking Dead marathon of all 19 episodes on July 7th and 8th. The event will also feature the world premiere television broadcast of the first episode in black and white, as well as a sneak peak at season three.

CBR.com caught up with Walking Dead artist, Charlie Adlard, and got him to talk about what it’s like to work on the world’s greatest and longest running zombie comic.
ComingSoon scored a first look at the latest trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Although this trailer isn’t as exciting as past teasers for the movie, it doesn’t make me want to see Abe hunting vampires any less.
