Iron Man 2: Black Widow

After busting on the last Iron Man 2 poster, I am happy to report that I really like THIS new Black Widow character poster.  It has a dramatically cropped photo of the very curvaceous Black Widow.  The big “2” created in the “Iron Man” colors and style clues us in to the fact that it’s an Iron Man 2 poster… and for anyone who doesn’t pick up on it, there’s IronManMovie.com listed below it.

Yeah, this poster is a winner!

Billy the Butcher’s Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns Homage

If you’re a fan of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns you should quickly recognize Billy the Butcher’s homage featuring Captain American blasting Iron Man with a knuckle-sandwich.

Iron Man fans will want to click over to io9 to see Iron Man returning the favor by kicking things up a notch in another Miller Dark Knight homage.

Well played, Billy the Butcher.  Well played.

Guy Pearce, Iron Man 3 & a Suggested Role

I’m a Guy Pearce fan.  He may be the most under-rated actor today.  Pearce is always good and brings something different to each role.

So, I’m glad to see Guy Pearce is going to be in Iron Man 3.  That’s definitely a plus.

Looking at this poster though, the first thing that went through my mind was, if I was casting an updated Miami Vice, I know who would play Sonny Crockett.

Iron Man 3 Poster – I Like It, I Like It Not

Do you like this poster for Iron Man 3?

I keep going back and forth about whether I like it or not.

I like the idea of Iron Man being knocked out of the sky.  How will he survive?  Who did this to him?  The painting is cool.

It kind of bugs me that his helmet is gone and that his metal armour is flaking/peeling away.  Wouldn’t his face do the same?

Maybe I’m just picking nits.

If you like the poster well enough to want to see a larger version, thanks to IMPAwards, you can.

New “Iron Man 3” Poster

I like the idea of this poster, better than the actual poster.

It’s cool to have Tony Stark surrounded by different versions of his Iron Man armor.  I like that Stark is partially suited up and looking over his shoulder.  I like that there is no title other than the number 3 and the release date.

Yet, the main figure doesn’t look dynamic enough.  Perhaps it would work better if it appeared that Stark was wearing all his armor except for his helmet.

Then again, maybe it’s just me being too picky.  At any rate, you can see an Avengers-sized version of this poster over at IMPAwards.
