{"id":10149,"date":"2014-05-26T05:17:36","date_gmt":"2014-05-26T09:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=10149"},"modified":"2014-05-25T12:39:09","modified_gmt":"2014-05-25T16:39:09","slug":"10-best-monster-movies-of-all-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=10149","title":{"rendered":"10 Best Monster Movies of All Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2014\/z052614horrormovie_top10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"477\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recently <strong>Variety<\/strong> posted a piece by\u00a0<strong>Maane Khatchatourian<\/strong>\u00a0titled <a href=\"http:\/\/variety.com\/gallery\/10-best-monster-movies-of-all-time\/#!1\/introduction\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>10 Best Monster Movies of All Time<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, let&#8217;s take a look at her list&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Alien<\/strong><\/em>: is an excellent horror movie which basically takes the haunted house concept and moves it to outer space. \u00a0While <em><strong>Alien<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 would make many folks&#8217; top ten, I prefer <em><strong>Aliens<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Jurassic Park<\/strong><\/em>: was a lot of fun. \u00a0It doesn&#8217;t quickly spring to mind when I think of <strong>monster movies<\/strong>, but okay, let&#8217;s include it&#8230; probably not in the top ten though.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Godzilla<\/strong><\/em>: Although I&#8217;ve seen most of the <em><strong>Godzilla<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>movies [including the most recent version], none would make my <strong>10 Best Monster Movies of All Time<\/strong> list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Jaws<\/em><\/strong>: is a great movie, but it is also one that doesn&#8217;t spring to mind when I think of <strong>Monster Movies<\/strong>. \u00a0If we agree <em><strong>Jaws<\/strong><\/em> is a monster movie it would be easy to argue it deserves a spot in the top ten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Bride of Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em>: are two that we cannot deny entry into the <strong>top 10<\/strong> [especially since we&#8217;re allowed to pair them!].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Creature from the Black Lagoon<\/strong><\/em>: not only makes the <strong>top ten<\/strong>, we could argue over whether it deserves the<strong> number one spot<\/strong> [and I wouldn&#8217;t argue too hard against that].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Gremlins<\/strong><\/em>: probably wouldn&#8217;t crack my <strong>top 50<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>King Kong<\/strong>: has to be on anyone&#8217;s list of <strong>best monster movies<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>The Thing<\/strong><\/em>: of course has to make the list. \u00a0I suggest we pair it with the original <em><strong>Thing from Another World<\/strong><\/em> [which also needs to make the list].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>The Fly<\/strong><\/em>: is one that I enjoy, but even pairing it with the remake probably wouldn&#8217;t get them into\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold;\">10 Best Monster Movies of All Time<\/strong>\u00a0list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How could these <strong>monster movies<\/strong> be left off:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Them!<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Dracula<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>War of the Worlds<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The Blob<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Night of the Living Dead<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>and so many others?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Recently Variety posted a piece by\u00a0Maane Khatchatourian\u00a0titled 10 Best Monster Movies of All Time.
