Recently The ’60s at 50<\/strong><\/a> posted the September ’64 Television Debuts<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0 I was surprised that 50 years had passed but so many of the shows that premiered that season are still not only known, but are being regularly watched on retro channels.<\/p>\n The Shows and my thoughts…<\/p>\n‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ –\u00a0<\/b>I occasionally watched, but often found the concept cooler than than the execution.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘Peyton Place’ – \u00a0<\/b>Never watched it.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n‘Shindig!’ – <\/b>Occasionally watched but preferred Dick Clark’s American Bandstand.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n‘Bewitched’ –\u00a0<\/b>Used to tune in regularly. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘Jonny Quest’\u00a0<\/b>– Loved that show. \u00a0An all-time favorite cartoon.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘The Addams Family’ –<\/b>\u00a0I watched but not regularly. \u00a0I was more a fan of \u00a0The Munsters<\/strong><\/em>.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n’12 O’Clock High” –\u00a0<\/b>Never really watched it.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n‘Flipper’ – <\/b>As a kid I was a regular viewer.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’\u00a0<\/b>– I watched as often as I could.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n‘The Munsters’ –\u00a0<\/b>I was a pretty regular viewer.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘Daniel Boone’ –\u00a0<\/b>One of my favorite shows as a kid!<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘Gomer Pyle – USMC’ –\u00a0<\/b>We’d watch regularly.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘Gilligan’s Island’ –<\/b> We’d watch weekly.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n‘My Living Doll’ –<\/b> I don’t remember it, but with Julie Newmar <\/b>co-starring, I’d be interested in giving it a look.<\/span><\/div>\n
