Last night I watched “Hide and Seek,”<\/a> <\/b>a psychological thriller<\/b> starring Robert DeNiro<\/b> and Dakota Fannning<\/b>. The movie was pretty good, but that’s not the point of this post… <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

In the movie DeNiro<\/b> keeps waking up<\/b> at 2:06 AM<\/b>. The first time that this happens, he discovers his wife has committed suicide<\/b>. As the movie progresses 2:06 AM<\/b> becomes a significant plot point<\/b> and the audience is left wondering [until the resolution] why DeNiro<\/b> wakes up at 2:06 AM<\/b>. <\/p>\n

It was pretty creepy<\/b>. Especially late in the movie, as Deniro<\/b> searches for a killer in the house<\/b> and suddenly Dakota<\/b> holds up a child’s clock<\/b> set to 2:06 AM<\/b>. Now THAT<\/b> was very creepy<\/b>, but it’s still not the creepy moment<\/b> I’m leading up to.<\/p>\n

Overall the movie was a fun way to spend a couple of hours<\/b> and I really enjoyed how the dvd set up the alternate endings<\/b> [there were several]. Ah, but I digresss… so on to the REAL creepy moment<\/b>…<\/p>\n

Later that night<\/b> I woke up<\/b> feeling the need to go to the restroom. Now most nights, I sleep through until the morning. Occasionally I’m compelled to get up in the middle of the night<\/b> for a trip to the john, so it’s not totally unusual that this would happen. Last night when I woke<\/b> to go, I looked to see what time it was<\/b>… and you guessed it… the digital clock read 2:06 AM.<\/b><\/p>\n

Now THAT was creepy!<\/b><\/p>\n
