<\/a>If you’re like me or any of the other <\/span>36 million people <\/b> who’ve<\/span> read<\/span> Dan Brown’s<\/b> The DaVinci Code<\/u><\/b>, then you probably love a<\/span> good conspiracy story<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that’s the case, then whoo-boy, do I have a doosey for ya.\u00a0 Lewis Perdue<\/b> has not only accused Dan Brown<\/b> of plagiarizing from Perdue<\/b>‘s books The DaVinci Legacy<\/a><\/b><\/u> [published in 1983<\/b> ] and Daughter of God<\/a><\/b><\/u> [published in 2000<\/b>], but he has taken his case to court<\/b> and the Internet.<\/b><\/p>\n

A recent court ruling<\/b> by Judge George Daniels<\/b> of U.S. District Court<\/b> in New York<\/b> says that “Any slightly similar elements are on the level of generalized or otherwise unprotectable ideas.”<\/p>\n

<\/a>Still, Perdue<\/b> plans to appeal this decision and argues that there are over 300 significant similarities<\/b> between his book and The DaVinci Code<\/u><\/b>. Perdue<\/b> further argues<\/b> that “in an analysis<\/b> of more than 50 pivotal plot events<\/b>, sixty-five percent<\/b> of these \u2013 65%<\/b> \u2013 occur in the same order<\/b>.<\/p>\n

In his latest blog post,<\/b><\/a> Perdue<\/b> says despite Judge Daniels’ <\/b>ruling, Perdue’s<\/b> battle to show that Brown<\/b> plagiarized<\/b> his work isn’t over, in fact, “It’s hardly begun.”<\/b><\/p>\n

I’ve read and enjoyed Brown’s<\/b> The DaVinci Code<\/u><\/b>.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

I haven’t yet read Perdue’s<\/b> The DaVinci Legacy<\/b><\/u> or Daughter of God<\/b><\/u>, but I should since they sound like good conspiracy stories.<\/p>\n

Then again, maybe I should just follow Perdue’s Battle Against Brown.<\/b><\/p>\n
