It&#8217;s just as I got older, I just found myself reading<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> fewer strips. One that I still take the time to check out<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> is <\/span><b style=\"font-family: arial;\">Blondie<\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">It&#8217;s hard to believe that <b>Blondie<\/b> celebrates it&#8217;s <b>75th anniversary<\/b> on <b>September 8th<\/b>. What&#8217;s really cool is that many <b>comic strip creators<\/b> are joining in on the celebration by having their <b>characters<\/b> make appearances in the <b>Blondie<\/b> strip and vice versa.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\"><b>Here<\/b> <b>Dagwood<\/b> shows up to personally invite<b> Garfield<\/b> to the party. <del><b>Rose<\/b> <b><del>gets her invit<\/del>e<\/b><\/del>. <b>BC<\/b> has a <del><b>subtle reference<\/b><\/del>. Many characters decide to <del><b>show up early<\/b><\/del> for the party. <b>The Wizard of Id<\/b> <del><b>plan<\/b><b>s<\/b><\/del> to attend. <b>Dick Tracy<\/b> is on a case but takes time to <del><b>make mention<\/b><\/del> of the event! <b>Mutts<\/b>&#8216; invitation <del><b>arrives<\/b><\/del> as even <del><b>more guests<\/b><\/del> arrive early. <b>Dagwood<\/b> sends the <b>Wizard of Id <\/b><del><b>a gift<\/b><\/del>. <b>Beetle Bailey<\/b> and <b>Dagwood<\/b> hang out <del><b>playing poker<\/b><\/del>. <b>Mother Goose<\/b> <b>and Grim<\/b> provide a <del><b>witty set of directions<\/b><\/del> to the <b>Bumstread<\/b>&#8216;s. <b>Dagwood <del>drops off<\/del><\/b> an invite for <b>The Family Circus<\/b>. <b>The Wizard of Id<\/b> decides on the <del><b>perfect gift<\/b><\/del>. <b>Blondie<\/b> <del><b>shows up<\/b><\/del> in <b>Shoe<\/b>&#8216;s hangout. Even little <b>Trixie<\/b><del> <b>is welcome<\/b><\/del>. And of course there are many <b>special guests<\/b> showing up in <del><b>recent<\/b><\/del> <b>Blondie<\/b> strips.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">If you like this kind of stuff, then keep your eyes peeled. The <b>cross-overs <\/b>will be going on for at least another week.
