Denver<\/b>, as Gilligan<\/b>,. set sail on what should have been a three-hour tour<\/b> but instead ended up being a 40 year adventure<\/b> entertaining several generations of fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

I was five years old<\/b> when “Gilligan’s Island”<\/b> premiered and I can remember watching each week. They castaways<\/b> were funny. Especially Gulligan<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

The show ran for only three seasons<\/b>. The funny thing is it never died. Bob Denver<\/b> has 25 credits<\/a><\/b> listed in the Internet Movie Database<\/b>. Eight <\/b>of them have direct ties to Gulligan’s Island<\/b>. Talk about creating an enduring and endearing character.<\/p>\n

I didn’t care much for Gilligan’s Island<\/b> once I was older. I remember watching Rescue from Gilligan’s Island<\/b> and thinking how stupid<\/b> it was. It wasn’t stupid<\/b> though, it was silly<\/b>. The kind of silly <\/b>that little kids eat up… like I did when I used to watch Gilligan<\/b> and the castways in their initial run. <\/p>\n

Bob Denver<\/b>‘s three hour tour<\/b> will never end. He’ll continue to entertain<\/b> generation after generation. Smiles and the sounds of laughter is a great legacy<\/b>. <\/p>\n

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Denver<\/b>.<\/p>\n
