Sure, arguments can be made for Superman<\/a><\/b> [the first with Christopher Reeve<\/b> and directed by Richard Donner<\/b>], the original Crow<\/a><\/b> movie [with Brandon Lee<\/b>] and even this year’s Batman Begins<\/a><\/b>. But for my money, Sin City<\/b> is the cream of the crop as far as getting to the screen what was on the comic page.<\/p>\n

That may change next year when Warner Brother’s<\/b> releases 300<\/b>. Interestingly enough, 300<\/a><\/b>, like Sin City<\/a><\/b> is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller<\/b>. What’s also interesting is that Zack Snyder<\/b>, 300’s director<\/b>, will make extensive use of the same “green screen” techniques employed by Robert Rodriguez<\/b> and Frank Miller<\/b> when they brought Sin City<\/b> to life for the big screen.<\/p>\n

Zack Snyder<\/b> really impressed me with his work on the Dawn of the Dead<\/a><\/b> remake. Not only did he have the stones to take on the job of updating Romero’s cult classic<\/b><\/a>, but he succeeded! <\/p>\n

Check out the official 300 web site<\/span><\/a><\/b> and you’ll see that Snyder<\/b> is a huge fan of Frank Miller<\/b>‘s work. I believe that Snyder<\/b> will bring the same sense of respect and ability to 300<\/b> that he brought to Dawn of the Dead<\/b>. And if that’s the case, we’ll not only get a great movie experience but also possibly the best comics to movie adaptation<\/b> ever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
