{"id":1194,"date":"2006-02-17T21:21:00","date_gmt":"2006-02-18T01:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=1194"},"modified":"2026-04-28T14:24:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T18:24:13","slug":"zeck-the-punisher-and-a-grafitti-filled-wall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=1194","title":{"rendered":"Zeck, The Punisher and a Graffiti-Filled Wall"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stallonezone.com\/z021706punisher_ban.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stallonezone.com\/z021706punisher_ban.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">I came across this cool <\/span><b style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stallonezone.com\/z021706punisher_big.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Punisher piece<\/a> <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> the other day.\u00a0 The art was pencilled by Mike Zeck and inked by Jerry Ordway.\u00a0 It was first used as a pin-up in an issue of <\/span><b style=\"font-family: arial;\">Marvel Fanfare<\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> and then later turned into a poster. <\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">When<b> Mike<\/b> decided to do a pin-up of the<b> Punisher <\/b>with a huge gun against a grafitti-filled wall he was left the the problem of what to use for the graffiti. Mike decided to fill it using the names of friends. In some cases the friends were &#8220;couples.&#8221; As a joke he listed<b> &#8220;Zablo and Sly&#8221;<\/b> because of my admiration for <b>Sylvester Stallone<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"font-family: arial; text-align: justify;\">If my memory serves me correctly he poster was made about about <b>15 years<\/b> ago. [Yep, years before the <b>StalloneZone<\/b> was created!] Unfortunately some of the folks listed on the poster have passed on.
