Although best known for his role as <strong>Spock<\/strong> [which spanned the <em><strong>Star Trek<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 tv and movie series], <strong>Leonard Nimoy<\/strong> was not only an actor, but also a director, author, and photographer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nHad <strong>Mr. Nimoy<\/strong> only been known for his role as<strong> Spock<\/strong>, that would have been enough to merit a post in my blog.<strong> Spock<\/strong> as played by <strong>Leonard Nimoy<\/strong> was one of my first and longest-lasting heroes. I wasn\u2019t alone in that thinking. I was able to convince my mom to let me have a <strong>Spock<\/strong> haircut, but thankfully, she drew the line when I asked for my ears to be made pointed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAfter the original <em><strong>Star Trek<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/em>series went off the air I continued to be a <strong>Leonard Nimoy<\/strong> fan enjoying his performances on new television shows and movies, and discovering his past performances in both media as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nIt\u2019s clich\u00e9 but true for many baby-boomers when we lost <strong>Leonard Nimoy<\/strong>, we also lost a big piece of our childhood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nMy thoughts and prayers go out to <strong>Leonard Nimoy\u2019s<\/strong> family, friends and fans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leonard Nimoy died today at the age of 83 from the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
