\"\"<\/a>This is, without a doubt, the<\/span> best season<\/b> of<\/span> American Idol<\/b> yet. We’re down to the final <\/span>12<\/b> and there are at least 4<\/b> who have a real shot of winning.<\/span> <\/div>\n

Unfortunately Kevin Covais<\/span><\/b> isn’t one of the four. He seems like a nice enough kid<\/b> and all, but I’m actually surprised he’s made it this far.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Let’s look at the rest of the group:<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Katharine McPhee<\/span><\/b> had the best performance last night<\/b> and she could go all the way<\/b>. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Ace Young<\/span><\/b> has the right look<\/b> and can sing<\/b> so he has a shot too. <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Chris Daughtry<\/span><\/b> can sing<\/b>, is comfortable on stage<\/b> and knows “who he is”<\/b> — I just wonder if a rocker can actually be the next American Idol<\/b>.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Bucky Covington<\/span><\/b> seems like a nice down to Earth guy<\/b>, but I don’t think he’ll be around much longer.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Elliott Yamin<\/span><\/b> can sing. I mean the man CAN SING<\/u>. The question is does he have the “it” factor to get enough votes to win?<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Kellie Pickler<\/span><\/b> is the country cutie<\/b>. She’s got a great voice for country music<\/b>. Cute as can be… but that may get old quick. “I feel like I got tarantulas on my eyes! They’re not real though!” Arrrgh!<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Lisa Tucker<\/span><\/b> is the youngest in the finals and without a doubt, one of the best<\/b>. She… could… go… all… the … way!<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Mandisa<\/span><\/b> can sing<\/b> and has a great personality<\/b>… but I don’t think that she’ll win.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Melissa McGhee<\/span><\/b> has her moments<\/b>, but my guess is that she or Bucky<\/b> will be the next to go.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Paris Bennett<\/span> could take the crown<\/b>. Her rendition, a few weeks ago, of “Midnight Train to Georgia”<\/b> was the best performance<\/b> that I’ve ever<\/b> seen on American Idol<\/b>. The only thing that could mess her up is that her “cuteness” may wear thin as the weeks drag on.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Taylor Hicks<\/span><\/b> won’t win. He’ll go far<\/b> but I just don’t see him taking the crown. I love the guy’s style<\/b> and he’s a fun performer<\/b> but I don’t see him beating out some of the others. I think I look forward to his performance more than any of the finalists, but he’s still a longshot to take the crown.<\/p>\n
