I&#8217;ve enjoyed every book that I&#8217;ve read by him, and <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">two<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> [<\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0684834030\/craizabls\/103-9992822-0513435?%5Fencoding=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&amp;link%5Fcode=xm2\">Cain<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> and <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0671015354\/craizabls\/103-9992822-0513435?%5Fencoding=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&amp;link%5Fcode=xm2\">Hunter<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">] are all-time favorites. In fact, I&#8217;ve always wished that <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Huggins<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> would do a sequel teaming the two heroes, <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Soloman<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> and <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Hunter<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, in a new adventure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Although <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Sorcerer<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Huggins<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">&#8216; latest novel, doesn&#8217;t bring back either <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Soloman<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> or <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Hunter<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, it does introduce us to a new hero, <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Michael Thorn<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">. <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Thorn<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> is an <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">ex-cop<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">ex-Airborne Ranger <\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">who, at <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">45<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, has opted for early retirement after seeing more than enough action in the military and as a decorated detective. <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Thorne<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">, his wife, and two children move to a remote <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">New England <\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">town where they buy a house in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Any hope for a peaceful retirement is gone when <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Thorn<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> discovers a hidden room in his basement. In the room he finds a <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">skeleton chained to the wall<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">. The manacles are engraved with an ancient writing. When the <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">skeleton<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> disappears and people start turning up dead, <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Thorn<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> suddenly finds himself allies with <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Assassini<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> sent from <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Rome<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> to do battle with the ancient evil that has returned from the grave!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Huggins<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> has the ability to make a story move, but never at the expense of character development. He also has the talent to <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">make the unbelievable believable<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">. I must admit that before reading the book,. I was worried that the villain would be some kind of <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">wizard<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> like in <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Harry Potter<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> or <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">King Arthur<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">. Boy, was I wrong. This sorcerer is an ancient evil who dared to challenge <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Moses<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> himself!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">I thoroughly enjoyed <\/span><a style=\"font-family: arial;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0883688182\/craizabls\/103-9992822-0513435?%5Fencoding=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&amp;link%5Fcode=xm2\"><strong>Sorcerer<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> and wouldn&#8217;t mind a sequel. Hmmm&#8230; maybe <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Thorn<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> could team with <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Soloman<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> and <\/span><strong style=\"font-family: arial;\">Hunter<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"> on a new adventure?<\/span><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James Byron Huggins is one of my favorite authors.
