\"\"<\/a>I first met <\/span>Andrew Robinson<\/span> when he was crashing at my buddy <\/span>John Beatty<\/span><\/a>‘s joint years ago. <\/span>Andrew<\/span> was just breaking into comics with his creation <\/span>“Dusty Starr.”<\/span> A blind man could see that this kid had <\/span>TALENT<\/span>. <\/span>Andrew<\/span> was also cool to hang with because he was so friendly and humble. I wasn’t back in to collecting <\/span>original art<\/span> then and so I missed my chance at a Andrew Robinson “Stallone.”<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

I was excited to see that Andrew <\/span>was going to be a guest at this year’s Heroes Con<\/span><\/a>. I figured that if I was lucky Andrew <\/span>might agree to a Stallone<\/span> drawing [if I could get on his sketch list]. I shouldn’t have worried. Beatty<\/span> stopped by Andrew<\/span>‘s table and it was as if the years melted away. They were like brothers who hadn’t talked in months. As it turned out, after Heroes<\/span>, Andrew<\/span> was coming to Florida<\/span> to visit his family [who now lived less than an <\/span>hour from Daytona<\/span>]. One thing led to another and Andrew<\/span> decided to ride back with Beatty<\/span> and John Highasi<\/span>.<\/span> The bad news<\/span> was that I would miss out on the drive back<\/span> since I had other commitments. The good news<\/span> was that Andrew was going to do a Stallone <\/span><\/span>drawing<\/span> for me… and he wanted to wait until he got to Florida<\/span> to do it!<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Andrew<\/span> ended up drawing Sly as Jack Carter<\/span> during one of his visits to Big Beatty’s<\/span>. Not only did Andrew<\/span> do a killer job<\/span>, but he was having so much fun that he decided to throw some colors on it as well! Here’s the original<\/span><\/a>, the first color piece<\/span><\/a> the second color piece<\/span><\/a> and even the third<\/span><\/a>!<\/div>\n
