{"id":13250,"date":"2015-08-20T18:00:23","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T22:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=13250"},"modified":"2015-08-16T17:28:41","modified_gmt":"2015-08-16T21:28:41","slug":"super-z-by-jim-ivey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=13250","title":{"rendered":"Super Z by Jim Ivey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2015\/z082015superz_jimivey.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I was going through the vault and I came across a caricature that my buddy,<strong> Jim Ivey, <\/strong>did for me six years ago when he was just 84. &nbsp;I think if<strong> Jim<\/strong> sticks with it, he may have a career as an artist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Actually,<strong> Jim Ivey<\/strong> had a 40 year career as a political cartoonist [Washington Star, St. Pete Times, San Francisco Examiner and the Orlando Sentinel]. &nbsp;When&nbsp;I first met <strong>Jim<\/strong> in the mid-1970\u2019s he was running <strong>The Cartoon Museum<\/strong> in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jim<\/strong>&nbsp;had a lot of irons in the fire; working as a syndicated cartoonist [<em><strong>The Thoughts of Man<\/strong><\/em>], a political cartoonist [The Orlando Sentinel], a publisher [<strong>CartooNews<\/strong>], teacher [UCF cartooning class] and even a comic book convention organizer [<strong>OrlandoCon<\/strong>].
