My buddy, “Big” John Beatty<\/span>, although best known for his comic book art<\/span> [The Punisher<\/span>, Captain America<\/span>, Batman<\/span>, etc.] does, from time to time, write a pretty funny blog<\/span>. <\/p>\n

Big John<\/span> has started updating again. His most recent post looks at People Magazine’s<\/span> two time Sexiest Man of the Year<\/span> award winners George Clooney<\/span> and Johnny Depp<\/span>. Seems that since Big John<\/span> has so many things in common with them, he feels that his time as Sexiest Man of the Year<\/span> must be coming. Read John’s post<\/span><\/a> and then come on back for my comments.<\/p>\n

Oh, back so soon?<\/p>\n

I did some research and contacted a friend in the know. He called me back and the conversation went like this:<\/p>\n

Mr. X<\/span>: “John Beatty<\/span> is on the list to be People’s Sexiest Man of the Year<\/span>. The trouble is there are a few people ahead of him. Folks like: Andy Dick<\/span>, Abe Vigoda<\/span>, Don Rickles<\/span>, Rex Reed<\/span> and Jackie Gleason<\/span>.”<\/p>\n

Me<\/span>: “Jackie Gleason<\/span>! Jackie Gleason<\/span> has been dead for years.”<\/p>\n

Mr. X<\/span>: “Yeah, but even now he’s still sexier than Beatty<\/span>.”<\/p>\n

Me<\/span>: “Wow. That’s rough.”<\/p>\n

Mr. X<\/span>: “Yeah, but Craig<\/span>, there’s one thing<\/span> you need to know.”<\/p>\n

Me<\/span>: “What’s that?”<\/p>\n

Mr. X<\/span>: “Beatty<\/span>‘s ranked ahead of you on the list.”<\/p>\n

Ouch.<\/p>\n
