{"id":13646,"date":"2015-10-29T05:00:32","date_gmt":"2015-10-29T09:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=13646"},"modified":"2015-10-17T13:29:12","modified_gmt":"2015-10-17T17:29:12","slug":"the-top-32-horror-comedies-of-all-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=13646","title":{"rendered":"The Top 32 Horror Comedies of All Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2015\/z102915moster_comedies.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"489\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Den of Geek<\/strong> posted their choices for <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.denofgeek.us\/movies\/horror-comedies\/249700\/the-top-32-horror-comedies\/page\/0\/1\" target=\"_blank\">The Top 32 Horror Comedies of All Time<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Of the 32<strong>\u00a0films<\/strong> they selected, I&#8217;ve seen eighteen. \u00a0Here they are with my thoughts on each&#8230;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"32\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Spook Busters (1946):\u00a0The Bowery Boys<\/strong> always felt to me like they wanted to grow up and be <strong>Abbott and Costello<\/strong>. \u00a0Still, I enjoyed their films as a kid and this was a fun one&#8230; as <strong>Bowery Boys<\/strong> movies go.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Fearless Vampire Killers or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck (1967):\u00a0<\/strong>I can&#8217;t tell you how many times over the years I&#8217;ve tried to watch this one all the way through. \u00a0I&#8217;ve never made it yet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Fright Night (1985):\u00a0<\/strong>Now we&#8217;re cooking! \u00a0I liked the mix of comedy and horror in this one!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1978)<\/strong>: I&#8217;ve always thought this was too stupid to be more than a <strong>Saturday Night Live<\/strong> skit. \u00a0Of course the cult popularity proves me wrong.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Cabin in the Woods (2012)<\/strong>: What an inventive, crazy movie! \u00a0I want to see it again!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Scream (1996)<\/strong>: I really got a kick at how it took all the horror cliches and winked at the audience as they played out.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Phantom of the Paradise (1974)<\/strong>: This is another one that I&#8217;ve never been able to get through.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)<\/strong>: I saw this at a Midnight Showing with an audience armed with all the props. \u00a0A bit too kinky for me then and now.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Shaun of the Dead (2004)<\/strong>: I like my zombie stories serious but I really like <strong>Shaun of the Dead<\/strong>!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Arachnophobia (1990):<\/strong> I&#8217;ve only seen this once but I really liked it much more than I thought I would. \u00a0I&#8217;d like to see it again to see if it holds up.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Monsters Inc. (2001)<\/strong>: This is a fun one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Beetlejuice (1988)<\/strong>: Who doesn&#8217;t like <strong>Beetlejuice<\/strong>?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> The Lost Boys (1987): <\/strong>I liked <strong>The Lost Boys<\/strong>, but think it&#8217;s a bit over-rated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Ghostbusters (1984)<\/strong>: This is one I don&#8217;t care for.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Young Frankenstein (1974)<\/strong>: Arguably the best film on the list.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Zombieland (2009)<\/strong>: Even better than <strong>Shaun of the Dead<\/strong>!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)<\/strong>: Perhaps the best movie on the list!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<blockquote><p><strong> An American Werewolf in London (1981)<\/strong>: I&#8217;m not a fan, but most folks are.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Den of Geek posted their choices for The Top 32 Horror Comedies of All Time.
