<\/p>\n It was an amazing ending<\/strong> to one of the most exciting basketball games<\/strong> I’ve ever had a chance to witness. More importantly, my son<\/strong> said it was the best game<\/strong> that he’d ever seen and he saw it in person. My son is a Magic fan<\/strong> and for Christmas<\/strong> I got him tickets to see them play against San Antonio<\/strong>. Our drive to Orlando<\/strong> was smooth and we arrived exactly at the planned time. I had pre-purchased<\/strong> a parking ticket<\/strong> for the lot directly across from the arena. We drove right in [despite the game and all parking lots being sold out<\/strong>]. Before the game we were able to go down almost courtside<\/strong> and watch the players warm up. It’s easy to forget just how BIG<\/strong> these guys are in real life. At half time, they brought out Chris Leak<\/strong>, the Heisman-winning quarterback<\/strong> for the National Champion Florida Gators<\/strong> [which just happens to be my son’s favorite college team]. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/span><\/div>\n
Now back to the exciting climax… Despite being down<\/strong> as much as 20<\/strong>, and behind most of the game<\/strong>, the Magic<\/strong> tied it up with less than a minute left in regulation. Then when Tim Duncan’s attempt<\/strong> at a winning shot<\/strong> was rejected<\/strong> by Dwight Howard<\/strong>, the Magic <\/strong>grabbed ball and called a time out. They had 8\/10’s of a second<\/strong> left on the clock to win the game. They didn’t even need that much time. Hedo Turkoglu<\/strong> lobed the ball towards the goal and Dwight Howard<\/strong> soared over Tim Duncan<\/strong> and slammed home a one-handed dunk<\/strong> to give the Magic<\/strong> the lead and the win.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/span><\/div>\n
