Cat Ballou<\/em><\/strong> [1965] The Pitch:<\/strong> \u201cLet\u2019s make a funny western!\u201d<\/p>\n The Tagline:<\/strong> \u201cIt’s That Way-Out Whopper Of A Funny Western…A She-Bang To End All She-Bangs!!\u201d<\/p>\n The Overview: <\/strong> Beware of Spoilers\u2026<\/p>\n If you\u2019re going to make a funny western it needs to be two things: 1] A western and 2] funny. Cat Ballou<\/strong><\/em> manages to get one out of two right. It\u2019s a western, but it\u2019s not funny. Of course humor is all relative. If you\u2019re a fan of the tv series F-Troup<\/strong><\/em> which premiered the same year and was set in the old west, you\u2019ll definitely enjoy Cat Ballou<\/strong><\/em> more than I did.<\/p>\n Jane Fonda<\/strong> plays the daughter of a rancher who was killed by a hired gunfighter [played by Lee Marvin<\/strong>] for his land.
