\"\"<\/a>Most ZONE<\/span>rs have a love for the zombie genre<\/span>. We dig all things Romero<\/span>. We can’t wait for each new issue of The Walking Dead<\/span>. We knew about Zack Snyder<\/span> [he directed the Dawn of the Dead<\/span> re-make] way before 300<\/span>. If you fall into this category [emphasis on gory], then you may want to check out <\/span>The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead<\/a> <\/b>by<\/span> Max Brooks.<\/b><\/p>\n

I say you may<\/span> want to check it out because, unlike his highly recommended World War Z<\/span><\/a>, the Zombie Survival Guide<\/span> is just that… a survival guide<\/span>. Where World War Z <\/span>focused on well written stories <\/span>of survival in a world of zombies<\/span>, the Survival Guide<\/span> is what it claims to be… a manual<\/span>. There’s no doubt that it’s a cool idea<\/span>. Brooks <\/span>should be commended for creating a f<\/span>un handbook<\/span> for zombie fanatics<\/span>. The guide is a well thought out <\/span>and entertaining<\/span>… manual.<\/span><\/p>\n

I think that fans of the genre<\/span> are going to really enjoy the ZSG<\/span>, but I don’t want to mislead anyone into thinking that it’s a prequel to Brook’s<\/span> highly rated World War Z<\/span><\/a> or even a novel about zombies. It’s survival guide… a manual<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
