\"\"<\/a>Saturday’s pay-per-view<\/span>, UFC 73<\/span><\/a>, is called Stacked<\/span> for a good reason. It features four fights<\/span> that all [well, at least three for sure] that could headline<\/span> any MMA<\/span> card. Of the four main fights,<\/span> three are tough to call<\/span>, but I’ve given it my best shot. “X”<\/span> marks my predicted winner<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Heath Herring Vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira<\/span> is the easiest prediction of the night. Herring<\/span> has lost to Noguerira<\/span> twice before and I don’t think Saturday will be any different. Nogueira will get the win<\/span> and maybe by knockout.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hermes Franca Vs. Sean Sherk<\/span> should be a very good fight<\/span>… maybe the best of the night<\/span>. Franca<\/span> is on an eight fight winning streak<\/span> and has wicked jiu-jitsu skills<\/span>. Sherk’s conditioning<\/span> is unmatched… maybe his strength<\/span> too [pound-for-pound]. Will Sherk’s wrestling skills, conditioning and strength<\/span> be enough to defeat Franca<\/span>? I think so. I see Sherk<\/span> retaining his lightweight title by decision win<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rashad Evans Vs. Tito Ortiz<\/span> is perhaps the most anticipated fight of the night<\/span>. It means the world to both fighters. Evans<\/span> needs a win to keep his undefeated streak<\/span> alive and to earn him a title shot<\/span>. Ortiz<\/span> has to have a victory to show everyone his best days aren’t behind him<\/span>. This is a tough one to call. Evans is undefeated<\/span>, has excellent wrestling skills<\/span> and has knocked out his last two opponents<\/span>. Ortiz<\/span> is bigger<\/span>. He’s been in the spotlight before<\/span>. He knows what he needs to do<\/span> to win. If he can take Evans<\/span> down, Ortiz could win by stoppage<\/span>. If he can’t Ortiz<\/span> is in for a long night. I’m going to give the nod [a slight nod<\/span>] to Ortiz.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nate Marquardt Vs. Anderson Silva<\/span>. Another tough one to call<\/span>. This one’s for the middleweight title<\/span>. Silva destroyed Rich Franklin<\/span> to win the title when Franklin<\/span> elected to stand and trade shots<\/span>. I don’t think that Marquardt<\/span> will follow that example. I’m going to pick an upset here and say Marquardt by decision.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
