Kaare Andrews\u00a0<\/b>is a movie and television director, a writer and artist. \u00a0Talk about a renaissance man! \u00a0Andrews has a new six issue comic series, Renalto Jones, coming out this summer. \u00a0Here’s how Kaare describes the series…<\/p>\n KA:<\/b> Here\u2019s the big conceit of the series: As you said, it\u2019s about a man who hides amongst the super-rich and makes them pay for their super-rich crimes. But he doesn\u2019t just hide in that world, he lives in it. So I can have a great time drawing gold plated Lamborghinis and huge estates, while still being able to get some payback. The book isn\u2019t saying that all rich people are evil (remember, this is fiction), it\u2019s saying that there is a certain kind of evil that\u2019s untouchable because it hides behind wealth. To get at them, it\u2019s going to take one of their own.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n What\u2019s interesting for me on a character level is that Renato isn\u2019t really who he appears to be. \u2018Renato\u2019 is Italian for \u2018Rebirth\u2019 and that plays a big part of his character. Who is he? Why is he doing this? It\u2019s not about revenge, but restitution. That\u2019s important to Renato. He\u2019s not getting even with the super-rich, he\u2019s making them pay.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
