Since inception, the Hero Initiative has been fortunate enough to benefit more than\u00a050 creators and their families with over $950,000 worth of much-needed aid, fueled by your contributions! It\u2019s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the cool fundraising ideas that the <strong>Heroes Initiative<\/strong> came up with was the <strong>JLA\u00a0100 Project<\/strong>. \u00a0<strong>Heroes Initiative <\/strong>in collaboration with<strong> DC\u00a0Comics<\/strong> got over 100 artists to create an original <strong>JLA<\/strong>\u00a0cover on specially printed blank <strong>Justice League of America\u00a0#50\u00a0<\/strong>covers. \u00a0The original art was then auctioned off with the proceeds going to the <strong>Hero Initiative<\/strong>. \u00a0In additional the 100+ pieces were collected in special edition hard and trade paperback books again with the proceeds going to support the <strong>Hero Initiative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can <a href=\"http:\/\/heroinitiative.org\/portfolio-item\/the-jla-100-project\/\"><strong>see all 100+ pieces of JLA art here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0Cully Hamner\u00a0cover is my favorite from the Heroes Initiative JLA 100 Project.
