\nPre-Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. had been chosen to play the school counselor, but his drug issues endangered the production. \u201cIt was during his rehab, and he\u2019d just been on Diane Sawyer\u2019s show,\u201d John McNaughton told Entertainment Weekly. \u201cAnd to the people in Hollywood, that was a great career move. That made him hot.\u201d The film\u2019s insurance didn\u2019t want to cover the actor, though, as Downey Jr. was too much of a liability.<\/p>\n
