8.<\/strong> He made the film for multiple viewings. \u201cThe first time you sit through Frailty you get pulled into the story kind of subjectively, and there\u2019s this whole kind of creep factor. But on your second viewing there\u2019s a lot of satisfaction as there are a lot of clues laid out in front of the viewer.\u201d<\/p>\n

35.<\/strong> The script originally showed the visions\u200a\u2014\u200aeach demons sins\u200a\u2014\u200aat the time of their abduction\/murder, but James Cameron watched an early cut and suggested they shift them all to the end. \u201cHe said \u2018You gotta remember film is so literal that you\u2019re going to split the audience, and a lot of them are gonna believe that dad really is seeing all this stuff, and you don\u2019t want that to happen because you want them to go with Fenton.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

36.<\/strong> Why is the ax called Otis? One, he wanted audiences to know that the ax adult Adam uses in the end is the same one his dad used, \u201cso I wanted to mark it some way.\u201d And two, giving it a name anthropomorphizes it and makes it a character of sorts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
