Jacob Hall and \/Film<\/a> recently posted the results of Your Favorite Movie Gunfights<\/a><\/em>. \u00a0Here are the top choices and my comments….<\/p>\n

– The Matrix<\/em>: really set a new standard for integrating computer effects into gunfights so much so that everyone knows what “bullet time” means.<\/p>\n

– \u00a0Raiders of the Lost Ark<\/em>: Not so much a gunfight as a “Don’t bring a sword to a gunfight.”<\/p>\n

– Shoot \u2018Em Up<\/em>: A movie gunfight lover’s dream.<\/p>\n

– Terminator 2: Judgment Day<\/em>: Not so much a gunfight as the joy of watching Arnold use a helicopter’s mini-gun to shoot up everything without ever harming a human.<\/p>\n

– Tombstone<\/em>: \u00a0So many excellent gunfights to choose from and they nailed the right one. \u00a0“Did you ever see anything like that?” \u00a0“I’ve never even HEARD of anything like that.”<\/p>\n

– The Way of the Gun<\/em>: What a great under-rated movie. \u00a0The ending is crazy good. \u00a0Makes me want to watch it again soon!<\/p>\n

So many other movies that could have made the cut: John Wick 1 & 2<\/em>; Heat<\/em>; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly<\/em> are the four that came to mind first. \u00a0Others?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
