I’m a Beatles<\/b> fan. I also enjoyed the work of each of the boys after they broke up, but if pressed to pick a favorite, it’d be Paul McCartney<\/a> <\/b>.<\/p>\n

That’s why I’m disappointed that Paul<\/b> has decided to reverse the traditional<\/a> “Lennon-McCartney”<\/b> songwriting credit on many songs that he and John Lennon<\/a> <\/b> co-wrote. When they were just starting out, they agreed that all of their songs would be credited to “Lennon-McCartney.”<\/b><\/p>\n

And that’s the way things have been for forty years. It’s rumored that Paul<\/b> wanted to reverse the credits on some of their songs before this, but that never happened. Until now. On Paul<\/b>‘s most recent album certain songs contain the credit “McCartney-Lennon.”<\/b><\/p>\n

Naturally this has angered many fans who feel it is a slap in the face to Lennon<\/b>. Paul<\/b>, of course feels otherwise, “I personally don’t see any harm in John<\/b>‘s songs such as ‘Strawberry Fields’<\/b> and ‘Help’<\/b> being labeled ‘Lennon-McCartney’ <\/b>and my songs such as ‘Let It Be’ <\/b> and ‘Eleanor Rigby’ <\/b>being labeled ‘McCartney and Lennon.’<\/b>“<\/p>\n
