You might not know his name, but I&#8217;d bet you would recognize <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Mr. LaFontaine&#8217;s voice<\/span>. He was consider the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">voice-over king<\/span>, and rightly so. What else would you call the man behind over <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">5,000 movie trailers<\/span>, the in-studio announcer for the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Academy<\/span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SAG awards<\/span>, and whose voice could be heard on <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, UPN, TNT, TBS<\/span> and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cartoon Network<\/span>?<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">I&#8217;m going to miss hearing his iconic voice booming, &#8220;In a world where&#8230;&#8221; and I have to tell you movie previews are going to be a little less fun&#8230; &#8220;In a world where <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Don LaFontaine<\/span> no longer resides.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial;\">Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don LaFontaine died yesterday at the age of 68.
