Enter the Dragon<\/em> is one of my all-time favorite films.\u00a0 The photo above is from the novelization written by Mike Roote.\u00a0 I read this adaptation in 10th grade.\u00a0 I got the book from Mrs. Adams’ student library.\u00a0 Although not as good as the film (how could it be?), I enjoyed reliving the Enter the Dragon<\/em> experience.<\/p>\n

It is important to remember…<\/p>\n

…that in the early ’70s \u2013 unless a film was shown on TV or did a second round in cinemas \u2013 there wasn\u2019t much scope for a re-watch. This was before VHS existed, so buying a book was your best way of reliving the magic.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Enter the Dragon<\/em> novelization was a best-seller!\u00a0 \u00a0Mike Roote must have been a pretty cool guy to get the gig.<\/p>\n

Except Mike Roote wasn’t a guy at all!<\/p>\n

Mike Roote was actually a woman named\u00a0Leonore Fleischer!\u00a0 Mike Roote was just one of her many pen-names.<\/p>\n

If you’ve read this far, you’d probably enjoy\u00a0The Unlikely Story of the Enter The Dragon Novelization<\/a> by Craig Lines for Den of Geek<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0You’ll learn a lot about the adaptation and may just discover that you’ve read one or more of Fleischer’s novels even if it wasn’t under written her name.<\/p>\n
