The report states that <b>TOM CRUISE<\/b> will not only produce but probably star in <em><b>Death Race 3000<\/b><\/em>\u00a0as well. The film is set to be directed by <b>PAUL ANDERSON<\/b> (<b><em>Soldier<\/em>, <em>Event Horizon<\/em><\/b>) from a script by <b>JONATHON LAWTON<\/b> (<b><em>Pretty Woman<\/em>, <em>Under Siege<\/em><\/b>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the post <b>LAWTON&#8230;<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"bodytext\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8230;would really like to get <b>SYLVESTER STALLONE<\/b> to come back to reprise his role as <b>Machine-Gun Joe Viterbo<\/b>&#8221; from the original <b><em>Death Race 2000<\/em>. <\/b>\u00a0<b>LAWTON<\/b> is quoted as saying, &#8220;<b>Machine-Gun Joe<\/b> is definitely part of the story.
