{"id":21189,"date":"2018-11-06T05:00:39","date_gmt":"2018-11-06T09:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=21189"},"modified":"2018-10-26T16:58:12","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T20:58:12","slug":"the-10-best-alfred-hitchcock-movies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=21189","title":{"rendered":"The 10 Best Alfred Hitchcock Movies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2018\/z110618best_hitchcock.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alfred Hitchcock was the first director I learned to know by name.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve always been an Alfred Hitchcock fan so I was delighted to see Nate Williams and ComingSoon present the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/movies\/features\/995653-10-best-alfred-hitchcock-movies\">10 Best Alfred Hitchcock Movies<\/a>.\u00a0 Here are three of my favorites with my comments (and Hitchcock films that didn&#8217;t make the cut that should have)&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Rope<\/strong><\/em>: I love that Hitch was able to film the movie (in 1948 no less) as if it was shot in one complete take.\u00a0 He did this in order to give the feeling of real time as if seeing the action unfold on stage as in a play.\u00a0 So, kuddos to Hitchcock for this technical achievement.\u00a0 Unfortunately, many times I think this technical aspect overshadows the fact that Rope is a suspenseful movie.\u00a0 And the question isn&#8217;t who will be murdered or who committed the murder, but how will they be caught &#8212; what will trip them up?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Psycho<\/strong><\/em>: was a groundbreaking film well ahead of its time.\u00a0 I love the fact that it starts off like a crime caper, moves into a murder mystery and wraps up as a horror film.\u00a0 Hats off to Hitch!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>North by Northwest<\/strong>:<\/em>\u00a0 For my money,\u00a0\u00a0<strong><em>North by Northwest\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is Hitchcock&#8217;s finest film.\u00a0 Cary Grant was never better and the supporting cast (Eva Marie Saint, James Mason, Leo G.
