(Plus the 17 Year Journey to Make It)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2020\/z051920lastdaysamericancrime_poster_trailer_history.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"701\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Below we have the trailer to <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em>.\u00a0 If the title sounds familiar it could be because I&#8217;ve been talking about <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> for almost 17 years.\u00a0 Yep, 17 years.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll explain after the trailer.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a final response to terrorism and crime, the U.S. government plans to broadcast a signal making it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts. Graham Bricke (\u00c9dgar Ram\u00edrez), a career criminal who was never able to hit the big score, teams up with famous gangster progeny Kevin Cash (Michael Pitt), and black market hacker Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster), to commit the heist of the century and the last crime in American history before the signal goes off. Based on the Radical Publishing graphic novel created by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini, <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> is directed by Olivier Megaton, written by Karl Gajdusek, produced by Jesse Berger, p.g.a., Jason Michael Berman, p.g.a., and Barry Levine, with Sharlto Copley also co-starring.<\/p>\n<p>Watch <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> on Netflix June 5<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gdWxGwiuhnU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/center>Okay.\u00a0 Let me tell you about those 17 years&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Way back in November of 2003, I posted <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=855\">Meet Rick Remender<\/a>.\u00a0 Rick was a comic writer and artist I met through my buddy, John Beatty.\u00a0 John was inking Rick&#8217;s pencils on the <em>Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/em>.\u00a0 Rick also had an idea for a comic mini-series he called<em>\u00a0The Last Days of American Crim<\/em>e.\u00a0 I loved the art, title and idea for the story.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2003\/z112603lastdaysamericancrime.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2007, <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=1508\">I met Rick at HeroesCon<\/a>.\u00a0 Not only did I get hang with him for a bit, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comicartfans.com\/gallerypiece.asp?piece=283846\">Rick also did a Stallone sketch<\/a> for my collection.\u00a0 Rick said that <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> was still in the works. Rick had so many projects going (<em>Fear Agent<\/em>, <em>Sea of Red<\/em>, and <em>Strange Girl<\/em> just to name three) that I had started to think that he\u2019d never get to it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2009\/z030209remender.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"358\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=2872\">In March of 2009, I posted<\/a> the art above and the news that\u00a0 \u201cThe Last Days of American Crime\u201d would premiere later that year in a three issue [48 pages each] mini-series with art by Greg Tocchini.\u00a0 Yea!\u00a0 The wait was nearly over.\u00a0 And how about Greg Tocchini&#8217;s art!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In April 2009, <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3080\">we got a look at Tocchini&#8217;s <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> preview cover<\/a> made for Comic-Con.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3411\">In August 2009<\/a>, CBR.com ran a 17 page preview of <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3576\">In September 2009<\/a>, CBR.com gave us another preview.\u00a0 The anticipation was building&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3800\">In November 2009, the news was<\/a> Sam Worthington had signed on to produce and star in a big screen adaptation of Rick Remender\u2019s <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em>.\u00a0 Wow!\u00a0 We&#8217;d probably see <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> movie in a year or so, right?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In December 2009, <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3894\">we got another preview<\/a> of <em>The Last Days of American Crime<\/em> mini-series.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In September 2010, I posted <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=4764\">The Not So Last Days of American Crime<\/a>.
