{"id":24514,"date":"2020-09-10T09:45:12","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T13:45:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=24514"},"modified":"2020-09-10T09:45:12","modified_gmt":"2020-09-10T13:45:12","slug":"rip-ronald-khalis-bell-kool-the-gang-co-founder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=24514","title":{"rendered":"RIP: Ronald \u201cKhalis\u201d Bell (Kool &#038; the Gang Co-Founder)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2020\/z091020rip_ronald_khalis_ bell.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ronald \u201cKhalis\u201d Bell, co-founder of Kool &amp; the Gang, died yesterday of an undisclosed cause at the age of 68.\u00a0 Bell was a singer, songwriter, producer and saxophonist.\u00a0 Just a few of the songs Bell composed, produced and performed include <em>Celebration<\/em>, <em>Get Down On It<\/em>, <em>Jungle Boogie<\/em>, <em>Cherish<\/em>, <em>Hollywood Swinging<\/em> and <em>Summer Madness<\/em>.\u00a0 Celebration is in the Grammy Song Hall of Fame and Bell is in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kool &amp; the Gang, which Bell co-founded with his brother, Robert in 1969 released their first album in 1970.
