{"id":25408,"date":"2021-03-08T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-08T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=25408"},"modified":"2025-12-14T14:51:28","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T19:51:28","slug":"when-actors-return-to-play-their-most-popular-characters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=25408","title":{"rendered":"When Actors Return to Play Their Most Popular Characters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2021\/z030821tvcharacter_revisits.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MeTV posted an interesting piece called <em>9 Times Actors Revived Their Beloved TV Characters Long After the Show was Over.<\/em>\u00a0 Sadly the article is no longer available.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It&#8217;s always interesting when actors return to play beloved characters.\u00a0 The problem is it is like trying to capture lighting in a bottle.\u00a0 It is hard to recreate the magic.\u00a0 Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn&#8217;t.\u00a0 Here are my three favorites from their list and my thoughts to go with each&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden<\/strong>.\u00a0 (I&#8217;m a huge fan of the original <em>Honeymooners<\/em> series from the 50s.\u00a0 I fondly remember watching reruns of the show with my grandparents.\u00a0 I have the original 39 episodes on dvd and still watch &#8217;em.\u00a0 I haven&#8217;t seen any of the <em>Honeymooners<\/em> reunion specials, but would love to&#8230; even if they don&#8217;t live up to the high bar set by the original series. &#8211; Craig)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\">Leonard Nimoy as Spock.\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\"> (I&#8217;m a fan of the original <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\">Star Trek<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\"> series,\u00a0 I&#8217;ve seen the movies with the original crew as well as the rebooted <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\">Star Trek<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\"> featuring Kirk, Spock and McCoy.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve not watched any of the <\/span><em style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\">Star Trek<\/em><span style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\"> spin offs.\u00a0 I loved seeing Leonard Nimoy return to play Spock in the\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1.0625rem; font-family: var(--text-font);\">J.J. Abrams&#8217; reboot!
