Tonight the UFC<\/strong> is putting on a really good card.\u00a0 Predictions<\/strong> are that it will be the biggest UFC pay-per-view ever<\/strong>.\u00a0 Although I’m not sure about that [I think that they could have picked a better date — this is the second pay-per-view this month and the day before the Super Bowl<\/strong>] — but\u00a0 I do believe it’s going to be an excellent card.<\/p>\n

Nate Diaz vs Clay Guida<\/strong> should be very entertaining.\u00a0 Both are agressive, in your face fighters.\u00a0 Diaz<\/strong> has height, reach and youth on his side and Guida<\/strong> has experience.\u00a0 I’m going with Diaz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Manny Gamburyan vs Thiago Tavares<\/strong> could be a technical battle.\u00a0 I think that Tavares<\/strong> is going to be too much for Manny<\/strong> though.\u00a0 I don’t think this will go the distance.<\/p>\n

Karo Parisyan vs Dong Hyun Kim<\/strong> should be a great fight.\u00a0 Kim<\/strong> is undefeated<\/strong>.\u00a0 Karo<\/strong> has crazy skills and a ton of experience against tough opponents.\u00a0 He may not be favored, but I’m pulling for Karo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jon Fitch vs Akihiro Gono<\/strong> aka “The Japanese Sensation.”<\/strong> I’ll be surprised if this one goes the distance.\u00a0 Fitch<\/strong> for the victory.<\/p>\n

Stephan “The American Psycho” Bonner vs Jon “Bones” Jones<\/strong>.\u00a0 Jones <\/strong>is undefeated <\/strong>and Bonner<\/strong> is coming off an extended layoff due to injuries.\u00a0 However, their nicknames alone seal the deal.\u00a0 The Psycho<\/strong> will defeat Bones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lyoto Machida vs Thiago Silva<\/strong>.\u00a0 How often do two undefeated<\/strong>, 13-0<\/strong>, fighters match up?\u00a0 Not very.\u00a0 They’re both 6’1″<\/strong> and weigh 205<\/strong>.\u00a0 Flip a coin, then sit back and enjoy the fireworks.<\/p>\n

BJ Penn vs George St. Pierre <\/strong>for the UFC Welterweight Championship<\/strong>.\u00a0 This is the second time that they will meet.\u00a0 GSP<\/strong> won the first battle in a tough split decision match.\u00a0 Both fighters are much better now and they were very good then.\u00a0 This should be a war.\u00a0 I’m going with GSP<\/strong>.\u00a0 He’s the current title holder<\/strong>.\u00a0 Penn<\/strong> is coming up in weight to fight him.\u00a0 These two facts give GSP<\/strong> a slight edge, at least in my book.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
