It’s no secret <\/strong>that I’m a Dave Johnson fan<\/strong>.\u00a0 It’s no secret<\/strong> that I’m a Howard Chaykin fan<\/strong>.\u00a0 Up until today I did not know that Howard Chaykin <\/strong>is a HUGE Dave Johnson fan<\/strong>.\u00a0 At WonderCon<\/strong> this past weekend Chaykin<\/strong> helped moderate a panel along with and about Dave Johnson<\/strong>.\u00a0 As you can imagine, it was insightful, funny, informative<\/strong> and pulled no punches<\/strong>.\u00a0 Here’s a taste from a CBR.com<\/strong> report:<\/p>\n Chaykin: . \u201cDave is consistently the finest cover designer working in the field today. He finds the bridge between the intellectual and the emotional.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Johnson {when he was praised and not fired after submitting a radical cover): “I realized I just had to be fearless (when creating a cover).\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Johnson (on his influences): \u201cJohn Byrne, Michael Golden.
