I was sad to read that Charles Lewis, Jr<\/strong>, aka “Mask”<\/strong> was killed early today in an automobile accident.\u00a0 Lewis<\/strong> was the founder of Tapout Clothing, Inc.<\/strong> and one of the stars of the reality series of the same name.\u00a0 According to Lt. Jim Amormino<\/strong>, a public information officer with the Orange County Sherrif\u2019s Department<\/strong> and \u00a0MMAWeekly.com<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

At 12:57 a.m., a Newport Beach Police cruiser spotted Lewis\u2019 red Ferrari and a white Porsche driving out of control…The Ferrari then struck the curb and hit a utility pole, tearing the car in half. After coming to a brief stop, the Porsche fled the scene. An unnamed female passenger was ejected from Lewis\u2019 car in the crash. Newport Beach paramedics pronounced Lewis dead at the scene.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In all the times I ever saw him, Charles “Mask” Lewis, Jr. <\/strong>came across as a genuinely nice person.\u00a0 It makes me sick to think that his life was cut so short.\u00a0 The Tapou<\/strong>t crew have announced that a memorial service is in the planning stages and details will be announced on the website<\/strong><\/a> once they are confirmed.<\/p>\n
