No Time to Die <\/strong><\/em>(2021)<\/p>\n Director:\u00a0 Cary Joji Fukunaga<\/strong><\/p>\n Screenplay:\u00a0 Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, <\/strong>Story by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Cary Joji Fukunaga<\/strong><\/p>\n Starring: Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Rami Malek, L\u00e9a Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Christoph Waltz <\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and Billy Magnussen<\/strong><\/p>\n Tagline: Bond is Back<\/em><\/p>\n The Overview:\u00a0 Beware of Spoilers\u2026<\/p>\n Five years ago Bond (Craig) was almost killed in an assassination attempt that appeared to be setup by Madeline (Seydoux), a woman he deeply loves.\u00a0 After putting her on a train and vowing to never see her again, Bond dropped off the grid.<\/p>\n Now Bond has been contacted by Felix Leiter (Wright), his friend and CIA contact.\u00a0 Leiter wants Bond’s help in capturing Lyutsifer Safin (Malek) and taking down Project Heracles – nanobots created to kill people based on specific DNA codes.\u00a0 \u00a0Bond agrees and finds himself at odds with his MI6 (British Secret Service) as well as the new 007 (Lynch)!\u00a0 The stakes are raised when Project Heracles is used against SPECTRE and Madeline becomes involved.<\/p>\n No Time To Die<\/em> is the bookend to Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale<\/em>.\u00a0 No Time to Die<\/em> doesn’t feel like a typical James Bond film.\u00a0 It is grimmer.\u00a0 There’s no subtle winks at the audience.\u00a0 There’s a weight and sadness to Bond. Let’s break it down…<\/p>\n The Story<\/strong>: I liked the story. As with most James Bond films the stakes are high and probably never higher.<\/p>\n Craig’s Bond<\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 My favorite James Bond film is Casino Royale<\/em> starring Daniel Craig.\u00a0 I thought he was perfect as James Bond who is just coming into MI6.\u00a0 He’s not yet the suave Bond who is capable to handle every situation.\u00a0 With that said, Sean Connery remains my favorite Bond.\u00a0 So, getting back to No Time to Die<\/em>, Craig is now an older Bond.\u00a0 He gets the opportunity to show us the suave Bond, but there’s a weariness to him.\u00a0 It works for this film, but my preference is the Bond that Sean Connery embodied.<\/p>\n The Opening \/ Song:<\/strong>\u00a0 Usually Bond films open with a big stunt.\u00a0 No Time To Die<\/em> takes a bit to get to the stunt sequence, but it should satisfy fans.\u00a0 Billie Eilish provides the opening song.\u00a0 I thought it was just okay and the same with the title sequence.<\/p>\n New 007:\u00a0<\/strong> Lashana Lynch plays the new 007.\u00a0 I like the rivalry between Lynch and Craig; as well as their growing respect.\u00a0 Lynch is good in what she’s given to do and has charisma.<\/p>\n Paloma:<\/strong> Ana de Armas is Bond’s new partner early in the film.\u00a0 She’s pretty and believable in the action beats.<\/p>\n Madeline:<\/strong> L\u00e9a Seydoux returns and is believable as the woman that James Bond would fall in love with.<\/p>\n MI6:<\/strong> Ralph Fiennes returns as M.\u00a0 This time he’s at odds with Bond.\u00a0 Their scenes are tense and I loved their exchanges.\u00a0 Ben Whishaw returns as Q.\u00a0 He has a small but important role; he’s not just the gadgets guy any more.\u00a0 I love Naomie Harris as Moneypenny.\u00a0 I can never get enough of her.<\/p>\n Felix Leiter:<\/strong>\u00a0 Jeffrey Wright is such a great actor.\u00a0 It is great that he had an expanded role.<\/p>\n Lyutsifer Safin<\/strong>:\u00a0 Rami Malek is perfect.\u00a0 Safin is scary not because of his physical presence, but his voice and look (this dude never blinks) let’s you know you’re dealing with a cold blooded killer.<\/p>\n Blofeld<\/strong>: Christoph Waltz returns in a small but pivotal role.\u00a0 The movie is better by having him.<\/p>\n Primo (Cyclops):<\/strong>\u00a0 James Bond films are famous for their memorable henchmen.\u00a0 Dali Benssalah excels as Primo, the killer with the bionic eye.<\/p>\n Logan Ash<\/strong>:\u00a0 Billy Magnussen plays a character you love to hate… and does it well.<\/p>\n I really liked No Time to Die<\/em>.\u00a0 I can’t say it exceeded my expectations, but it did surprise me.\u00a0 There’s a twist I didn’t believe was coming.\u00a0 No Time to Die<\/em> makes a good bookend to the Daniel Craig Bond era and rates 4 of 5 stars.<\/p>\n No Time to Die (2021) Director:\u00a0 Cary Joji Fukunaga Screenplay:\u00a0 Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Story<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":912,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[17,54,74],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-30004","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-celebs","category-movies","category-z-view"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30004","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/912"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=30004"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30004\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":30018,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/30004\/revisions\/30018"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=30004"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=30004"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=30004"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}![\"\"](\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_b.png\")
