Howell, Devon Sawa<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Stahl<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tagline:<\/p>\n<p>The Overview:\u00a0 Beware of spoilers&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Joseph Mersault (Sawa) lives in a remote wilderness log cabin with his wife Anne (Sullivan) and daughter Ren\u00e9e (Howell).\u00a0 Joseph is a modern day mountain man, living off the land, hunting and trading animal skins for goods.\u00a0 They&#8217;re just barely getting by.\u00a0 Anne doesn&#8217;t enjoy the life, but tolerates it.\u00a0 Ren\u00e9e loves hunting with her dad and living in the wilderness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When a huge, rogue wolf returns to the area, Joseph decides he will hunt and kill it.\u00a0 When Joseph doesn&#8217;t return after a couple of days, Anne fears the worst.\u00a0 But the worst is yet to come&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I liked a lot of <em>Hunter Hunter<\/em>.\u00a0 For me it went off the rails when characters started doing really dumb things.\u00a0 I could accept Joseph going to hunt the wolf.\u00a0 But when he finds something totally unexpected <u>and<\/u> doesn&#8217;t go back to get his family away to safety <u>and<\/u> he doesn&#8217;t go to the police&#8230; well, that&#8217;s just dumb.\u00a0 When Joseph doesn&#8217;t return after a couple of days, <u>and<\/u> Anne and her daughter have had a run-in with a wolf <u>and<\/u> Anne still decides to wait it out in the cabin&#8230; that just dumb.\u00a0 When&#8230; well, you get the idea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I had the feeling at the start of the film that we may be dealing with a werewolf.\u00a0 The lingering shots of the full moon also added to that feeling.\u00a0 Was the director just setting us up?\u00a0 The thing that really brought down my rating of this film was the final act.\u00a0 It seemed out of character for Anne, and the gore was over-the-top.\u00a0 Then for the police to allow her to simply walk away?\u00a0 C&#8217;mon, man.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i style=\"color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font); font-size: inherit;\">Hunter Hunter<\/i><span style=\"color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font); font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0earns 2 of 5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_d.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2022\/z091222zview_hunterhunter2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"314\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hunter Hunter (2020) Director: Shawn Linden Screenplay by: Shawn Linden Starring: Camille Sullivan, Summer H.
