Here’s another item from the ZONE<\/strong> vault.\u00a0 This time we have a rarely seen Steranko<\/strong> sketch of Nick Fury<\/strong>.\u00a0 It appeared as the back cover of a fanzine<\/strong> from around 1978<\/strong>.\u00a0 Steranko<\/strong> was [and remains] one of my favorite comic artists<\/strong> so finding the, until then, unknown fanzine with some of his art made my day.<\/p>\n

I can remember my excitement when I found the zine at a little comic book store in Tallahassee<\/strong>… or was it Gainesville<\/strong>?\u00a0 John Beatty<\/strong> and I had driven up with Bill Black<\/strong> or to meet Bill<\/strong> or something… Big John<\/strong>, do you recall the specifics of that trip?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
