Last night the a bunch of the family met up in DeLand<\/strong> to see my nephew pitch for East Tennessee State University<\/strong> against Stetson<\/strong>.\u00a0 Although hanging with the family was fun, the game didn’t go our way.\u00a0 Josh<\/strong> started as pitcher<\/strong> and went five innings<\/strong>.\u00a0 The score was 4-2<\/strong> when he was relieved [and two of the runs came after errors].\u00a0 Things went pretty much downhill after that.\u00a0 ETSU<\/strong> went through four<\/strong> more pitchers<\/strong> as Stetson<\/strong> hammered in a total of 19 runs<\/strong>.\u00a0 Final score Stetson 19, ETSU 4<\/strong>.\u00a0 Arrgh.<\/p>\n

After the game, when we went out into the parking lot we discovered that one of the foul balls hit out of the stadium had busted out Josh’s mom’s car’s back window<\/strong>.\u00a0 Sheesh!\u00a0 You can see that Joey <\/strong>was shocked at the look of his Aunt’s car!<\/p>\n

Still, the night did have it’s moments.\u00a0 It was fun hanging with family members.\u00a0 And Grandma Peggy<\/strong> came up with a few new ones:\u00a0 “They’ve got more runs than a pair of my old hose”<\/strong> — “That kid is swingin’ like it’s the 60’s!”<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
