Morse<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Screenplay: <strong>Miriam Kissinger, <\/strong>based on characters created by <strong>Earl Derr Biggers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stars: <strong>Sidney Toler, Victor Sen Yung, John Harmon, Dick Elliott, Tristram Coffin, Selmer Jackson <\/strong>and <strong>Dudley Dickerson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tagline: <em>THE RIDDLE OF THE &#8220;KNIVES OF DEATH!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Plot\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While traveling on an ocean liner Charlie Chan is approached by a Scott Pearson, a Treasury Agent.\u00a0 Pearson is on a case involving counterfeit money and stolen art.\u00a0 There have been two attempts on his life when Chan saves Pearson from a third!\u00a0 When Pearson is later murdered, Chan is determined to find the killer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mantan Mooreland doesn&#8217;t appear in <em>Dangerous Money<\/em>.\u00a0 Charlie Chan&#8217;s valet is now Chattanooga Brown (perhaps Birmingham&#8217;s nephew?), played by Willie Best. Chattanooga and Charlie Chan&#8217;s son make an interesting team, but I missed Mooreland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Dangerous Money,<\/em> like all Charlie Chan films, is a low-budget affair that runs just over an hour.\u00a0 It gives us several likely suspects for the killer, with most folks getting it wrong.\u00a0 Not Charlie Chan though.\u00a0 That dude is like Columbo before there was a Columbo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em style=\"color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font); font-size: inherit;\"><strong>Dangerous Money <\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font); font-size: inherit;\">earns 3 of 5 stars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/logo\/zview_c.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"100\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2023\/z012923zview_dangerousmoney2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"246\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dangerous Money (1946) Director: Terry O.
