murdered.\u00a0 He was decapitated and left hanging upside down from a tree.\u00a0 Because the man was wealthy and of some importance, the Governor flies in.\u00a0 He meets with the Sheriff and head of the area&#8217;s Fish and Game commission.\u00a0 The Governor demands that the two groups work together to quickly find the murderer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Not totally healed from the Grim Brothers&#8217; attack, Joe finds himself thrust into an investigation that is going to lead to corruption and more murders by people in high places.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Joe Pickett<\/em>: Season One was surprisingly good.\u00a0 Season 2 is even better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The series features some of the best acting you will find anywhere.\u00a0 Standouts include: Michael Dorman (Joe Pickett), Julianna Guill (Marybeth Pickett), Sharon Lawrence (Missy, Marybeth&#8217;s mother), Mustafa Speaks (Nate Romanowski), Skywalker Hughes (Sheridan, one of the Pickett&#8217;s daughters) and Chad Rook (Deputy McLanahan).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kudos to this season&#8217;s writers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I love that events from season one had major ramifications in season two.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Joe and Marybeth&#8217;s relationship is so well written (and acted).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each episode ended with a cliffhanger making us want to move on to the next episode.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">All of the characters are given backstory without hindering the main focus of the season.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was cool to see David Alan Grier get a cameo that has a major impact going forward.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Grim Brothers are two of the creepiest bad guys you can imagine.\u00a0 They get an interesting character arc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Joe Pickett: Season 2 <\/strong><\/em>(2023) ends with some great twists.\u00a0 I hope we get a third season.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Joe Pickett: Season 2 <\/strong><\/em>(2023) e<span style=\"color: var(--text-color);
