color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Charles Bronson and Michael Winner hit gold with <em>The Mechanic<\/em>.\u00a0 Unfortunately, lightning didn&#8217;t strike again with <em>The Stone Killer<\/em>.\u00a0 It would however, when they teamed the following year with <em>Death Wish<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Stone Killer<\/em> is definitely a &#8217;70s movie.\u00a0 Detective Torrey is made in the mold of Harry Callahan, but The <em>The Stone Killer<\/em> is at best a poor man&#8217;s <em>Dirty Harry<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you&#8217;re a fan of character actors, you&#8217;ll enjoy all of the faces popping up throughout <em>The Stone Killer.<\/em> \u00a0You&#8217;ll see Martin <em>&#8220;Psycho&#8221;<\/em> Balsam, Norman <em>&#8220;Three&#8217;s Company&#8221;<\/em> Fell, Stuart <em>&#8220;The Rockford Files&#8221;<\/em> Margolin, Ralph <em>&#8220;The Waltons&#8221;<\/em> Waite, Alfred <em>&#8220;Star Trek&#8221;<\/em> Ryder, Charles <em>&#8220;The Outlaw Josey Wales&#8221;<\/em> Tyner, Robert <em>&#8220;Alfred Hitchcock Presents&#8221;<\/em> Emhardt to name just a few.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>The Stone Killer<\/em> isn&#8217;t one of Bronson&#8217;s best, but it does have more high falls than a John Wayne western and a car chase worthy of <em>It\u2019s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font); font-size: inherit;\"><strong><em style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">The Stone Killer <\/em><\/strong>(1973) <\/span><span style=\"color: var(--text-color);
