subtract <strong>1976<\/strong> from <strong>2009<\/strong>&#8230; add in <strong>27<\/strong>&#8230; carry the one&#8230; oh, never mind.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mike <\/strong>first entered <strong>fandom<\/strong> in <strong>1970<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mike&#8217;s first published professional work<\/strong> was the inside front cover to <strong>Savage Sword of Conan #2<\/strong> [which was a &#8220;fair reproduction of the same <strong>Conan<\/strong> drawing which had graced the cover of <strong>RBCC #109<\/strong>]<\/li>\n<li>At the time of the profile, <strong>Mike<\/strong> had worked mainly for <strong>Charlton Comics Group<\/strong> where <strong>his first published work<\/strong> was <strong>text illustrations<\/strong> in <strong>Barney &amp;
