Richard Rountree died yesterday from pancreatic cancer.\u00a0 Mr. Roundtree was 81.<\/p>\n

Richard Roundtree began his professional career as a fashion and ad model.\u00a0 He appeared in off-Broadway plays.\u00a0 His big break came in 1971, when he starred in Shaft.\u00a0 The film made Mr. Roundtree famous.\u00a0 He would go to appear in feature films and television roles for the rest of his career.<\/p>\n
