Jerry Lewis and Rowan &amp; Martin.\u00a0 This led to offers to write and direct.\u00a0 Mr. Lear would go on to write, direct and produce both for television and feature films for the rest of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Norman Lear&#8217;s Awards include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1968 <em>Academy Award<\/em> Nomination for <em>Best Writing, Story and Screenplay &#8211; Written Directly for the Screen<\/em> for <em>Divorce American Style<\/em><\/li>\n<li>1975 <em>Star on the Walk of Fame<\/em> Winner for Television<\/li>\n<li>1977 <em>Peabody<\/em> Lifetime achievement Award<\/li>\n<li>1984: <em>Television Academy Hall of Fame<\/em> Award<\/li>\n<li>1985<em> Primetime Emmy<\/em> Nomination for <em>Outstanding Drama\/Comedy Special<\/em> for <em>Heartsounds<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">1991 <em>Primetime Emmy<\/em> Nomination for <em>Outstanding Informational Special<\/em> for <em>All in the Family: 20th Anniversary Special<\/em><\/li>\n<li>1999 <em>National Medal of Arts<\/em> Winner<\/li>\n<li>2017: <em>Peabody Lifetime Achievement<\/em> Award<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">2019 <em>Primetime Emmy<\/em> Win for <em>Outstanding Variety Special<\/em> (Live) for<em> Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear&#8217;s &#8216;All in the Family&#8217;
