{"id":3481,"date":"2009-09-10T05:00:50","date_gmt":"2009-09-10T09:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3481"},"modified":"2023-02-21T00:03:39","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T05:03:39","slug":"all-time-10-best-marvel-panels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=3481","title":{"rendered":"All Time 10 Best Marvel Panels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/stallonezone.com\/zone\/2009\/z091009marvel_panels.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"1350\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recently, in honor of <strong>Marvel Comics 70th birthday<\/strong>, <strong>CBR.com<\/strong> had a poll opened to their readers to come up with the <strong>Top 70 Most Iconic Marvel Panels Off All Time<\/strong>.\u00a0 I decided to play along, and just using the choices from the survey came up with my <strong>Top Ten List<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10.\u00a0<\/strong> A <strong>Steranko<\/strong> panel from his classic <strong>Captain America<\/strong> run\u00a0which ended way, way too soon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>09.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Thanos<\/strong> turns to stone as the <strong>Avengers <\/strong>and everyone\u00a0else look on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>08.<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Gwen<\/strong> was dead, <strong>Spidey<\/strong> was ticked and we were shocked!\u00a0 Of course that was back in the days when characters stayed dead and comics weren&#8217;t rebooted every couple of years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>07.<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Daredevil<\/strong> was back.\u00a0 <strong>Miller<\/strong> was writing\u00a0him and<strong> David Mazzuchelli<\/strong> was pencilling.\u00a0 It was good to be buying <strong>Daredevil<\/strong> again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>06.<\/strong>\u00a0 The end of the <strong>Warlock <\/strong>series.\u00a0\u00a0Perhaps <strong>Starlin&#8217;s greatest work<\/strong>.\u00a0 Ah, seeing <strong>Pip, Warlock<\/strong> and <strong>Gamora\u00a0<\/strong>brings back some\u00a0great memories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>05.<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Daredevil<\/strong> &#8212; from\u00a0my favorite run on the book.\u00a0 <strong>Frank Miller <\/strong>and <strong>Klaus Janson<\/strong>.\u00a0 It didn&#8217;t get any better than them when they were hitting stride.<\/p>\n<p><strong>04.<\/strong>\u00a0 Another classic\u00a0<strong>Steranko<\/strong> image from his run on <strong>Cap<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p><strong>03.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Who didn&#8217;t fall\u00a0for <strong>Mary\u00a0Jane<\/strong> when she told <strong>Peter <\/strong>[<strong>Spider-Man<\/strong>]<strong> Parker<\/strong>: &#8220;Face it, Tiger&#8230; You just hit the jackpot!&#8221;\u00a0 Of course I was about 7 years old at the time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>02.<\/strong>\u00a0 Another classic panel from <strong>Miller<\/strong> and <strong>Janson&#8217;s run<\/strong> on <strong>Daredevil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>01.<\/strong>\u00a0 A classic panel from <strong>Chris Claremont, John Byrne<\/strong> and <strong>Terry Austin&#8217;s run<\/strong> on <strong>The X-Men<\/strong>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a great shot of <strong>Wolverine<\/strong> sneaking in through the sewers to save the day.\u00a0 Fans [me included] couldn&#8217;t wait for <strong>Wolverine<\/strong> to be showcased solo.\u00a0 Of course this was in the days before<strong> Wolverine<\/strong> had his own book, his own movie series and was known throughout the world.\u00a0 Back then he was just the runt who tried to hold in a rage that sometimes got away from him.\u00a0 Of course he was still the best at what he did&#8230;
