Over his 30 plus years as a Deputy U.S. Marshal, Reeves arrested approximately 3,000 felons.\u00a0 He killed 14 men without ever being shot himself.\u00a0 He was smart, fearless and relentless.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time his story was told.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; color: var(--text-color); font-family: var(--text-font);\">Thoughts (beware of spoilers)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Way back in 2013, I did a post called <a href=\"https:\/\/craigzablo.com\/?p=7772\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Life and Times of Deputy U.S. Marshall Bass Reeves<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 At that time I called for a movie or tv series about Bass Reeves.\u00a0 I&#8217;m happy to report that <em>Lawman: Bass Reeves<\/em> was worth the wait.\u00a0 Everything about the series is first rate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The writing and direction are top notch.\u00a0 All of the characters are well cast.\u00a0 David Oyelowo who plays Bass Reeves was nominated for a <em>Critics Choice<\/em> and <em>Golden Globe Award<\/em>.\u00a0 He deserves every honor available &#8211; he&#8217;s amazing in this role.\u00a0 Dennis Quaid and Barry Pepper have never been better.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s not forget to mention the talents of Lauren E.
